HUNGRY FOR LIFE?
| In my kitchen this week - Homemade pizza Not perfectly round but definitely tasty. |
It depends on how big a slice you want.
There are as many ways as you can imagine and choose.
Don't even get me statrted on toppings....
LIFE COULD BE LIKE PIZZA
It is all about choice.
I mention several times throughout this blog that I am a bird watcher, not only in the literal sense, but also in a metaphorical sense. This metaphor has arisen out of my propensity to change my mind about what I want to do in life several times over.
The metaphor was devised by my husband (an engineer, that should explain everything) who chose what he wanted to do early in life and has pretty much stuck to his plan.
The problem arises when a career driven engineer marries an artist or rather a creative spirit. Creative spirits are always looking for something else. It is what gives us reason to get up in the morning. It is what makes us tick. Creative spirits are never happy doing the same thing for eternity. Non creative sometimes JUST DON'T GET US!
That said, some of us do like a touch of continuity and rhythm in our lives (ritual and routine) because it provides us with a safe and secure base from which to explore.
Are you the type of person who likes the Pizza or do you want the whole all you can eat buffet?
The thing about pizza is no matter how many ways you slice it, it is still pizza. Do you like large slices or small bites?
Me...? I want to sample everything there is!

I love homemade pizza - thin crust is the best and yours looks really tasty!
ReplyDeleteYes thin crust homemade is my favorite. Never the mass produced stodge. But... are you the sort of girl who settles for just pizza? Or do you want more out of life and your taste buds? The buffet? the tiny waffer?
ReplyDeleteI just ate a full roast dinner (cooked by The MC) with all the trimmings. Totally stuffed and satisfied.
Love you blog by the way. Thanks for visiting.
It was so facinating to read this. I was only having a conversation with someone on the phone today about all the study and career options I am undertaking to become a Doula. I woman on the phone, was very surprised by my repitoir of extra talents and qualifications that many other doula's do not train in.
ReplyDeleteI'm the buffet girl... I feel and see the need to explore and untertake all the options, always longing and seeking out that something extra special.
Yes and that is what keeps you and life interesting. Is it not? Call me silly but what is a Doula it sounds very spiritual? Tell me more, please.
